Dinosaurs - The rulers of prehistoric times
Millions of years ago, dinosaurs ruled our planet – massive, fascinating creatures that lived in a world long gone. From the fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex to the gentle giant Brachiosaurus – they roamed lush forests, stomped across endless plains and even populated the seas and skies. Their diversity was impressive: some were dangerous hunters with sharp teeth and claws, others were gentle herbivores that reached high into the treetops.
But despite their size and strength, their age was not destined to last forever. Around 66 million years ago, a dramatic event – presumably a huge asteroid impact – led to their sudden disappearance. But are they really completely extinct? Modern birds are their direct descendants, so in a sense the dinosaurs are still with us.
To this day, dinosaurs fascinate people of all ages. They are a symbol of the unknown, of a time that we can only explore through fossils, bone finds and scientific discoveries.
